DGC International is seeking the services of a Digital and Social Media Graphics Coordinator to support operations at our Corporate Headquarters in Vienna, Virginia.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have an interest in promoting and building the brand of DGC International through planning, creation and distribution of digital content on channels such as social media, e-newsletters and digital marketing campaigns ensuring content is aligned with the Company’s goals and marketing and communication strategies.
Primary Responsibilities 
  • Monitor and manage DGCI’s and its Partner Companies’ brands across all major social networks and actively mine social conversations for relevant insights and opportunities to engage.
  • Conceptualize, create and distribute audience-centered, engaging social media and digital marketing content to promote the DGCI brand, impact, accomplishments, programs, products, opportunities and events.
  • Assist with the planning and development of digital communications projects, including digital and email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
  • Create and manage messaging and visual style for office digital monitors.
  • Develop guidelines and best practices and ensure consistency of messaging and adherence to brand voice, as well as accuracy and appropriateness of content across all channels.
  • Manage, monitor and grow DGCI’s official social media channels by collecting data and analyzing metrics on social media and other digital channels to inform strategic direction and make conclusions about content performance.
  • Provide counsel, assistance, and/or coordination to DGCI Business Unit Leaders.
  • Work with strategists and analysts to plan, forecast, and report on social media marketing and care programs.
  • Manage outcomes against a set of defined business goals and KPIs.
  • Review and analyze paid and organic content for optimization and strategic opportunities to improve.
  • Assist on social media strategies for DGCI customers and new business pitches as needed.

Required Qualifications and Experience
NOTE:  Candidates selected for interviews are expected to provide verifiable examples of previous digital and social media work products.
  • Passionate about all things social; demonstrate an eagerness to learn and share best practices, new trends, and major developments in the social space.
  • Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years in the social media space or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
  • Candidates ideally have former community management, content creation or reporting experience.
  • Strong familiarity with key social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google+, Flickr, and Snapchat.
  • Expert proficiency with WordPress and other web development platforms
  • Experience working with advertising platforms across the major social networks.
  • Ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and resolve complicated issues independently, even with little initial information.
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills; ability to think critically about content in context of brand messaging, goals, and voice.
  • Outstanding oral, written, and presentation skills required.
  • Agency or brand experience preferred.
  • Experience with U.S. Government Contracting companies highly desirable
  • Some travel may be required
