DGC International is seeking the services of a Human Resources (HR) Generalist and Recruiting Coordinator to support our Corporate Headquarters in Vienna, Virginia.  The Coordinator will also provide support to our Middle Eastern Location.
 
Position Overview
The ideal Candidate will have proven experience providing support to Human Resources and Recruiting Departments in companies within the U.S. Government Contracting industry.
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as principal Human Resources (HR) Representative to DGCI employees, advisors, contractors, and independent consultants
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
  • Implement human resources programs by providing human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, benefits, and training
  • Ensure all personnel records and documents are properly maintained in the Company’s HRMS (SumTotal) according to local, state, and federal, and international regulations
  • Provide recruiting support for open/current and future positions for all programs, to include job postings, candidate sourcing/screening, interview scheduling, and extending offers
  • Conduct new employee onboarding and assimilation activities, to include background checks, personality assessments, E-Verify, benefits enrollment, payroll record initiation, and training
  • Administer training and improvement activities related to employee relations policies, practices and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with all departments in developing and implementing HR programs, policies and procedures, and overseeing change progress, process improvements and effectiveness of policy/procedural changes
  • Administer DGCI’s performance appraisal and evaluation programs to ensure timely and accurate completion
  • Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action

Required Qualifications and Experience
 
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of HR Generalist level work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field expertise in multiple HR disciplines.
  • Practical experience administering employee relations-related functions.
  • Advanced proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems, Human Resources Management Systems, and Learning Management Systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of current State and Federal laws related to HR disciplines.
  • Experience in Government Contracting Industry highly desirable.
  • Great judgment is a must.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience recruiting for a medium-sized company.
  • Ability to keep confidential information confidential.
  • Excellent communication and information dissemination skills.
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills.
